About Us
Established in 2008 and sponsored by the University of Michigan MFA Program in Creative Writing, Canarium Books is dedicated to publishing poetry by established and emerging authors from the United States and abroad.
Our first publication, Canarium 1, was published in 2008 and includes poems by Ed Roberson, Arda Collins, Takashi Hiraide, Dunya Mikhail, and a dozen other poets. Our single-author books are Union! by Ish Klein, The Tangled Line by Tod Marshall, The Waste Land and Other Poems by John Beer, The Irrationalist by Suzanne Buffam, and Flowers by Paul Killebrew. In 2011, Canarium Books published Ish Klein's Moving Day, Robert Fernandez's We Are Pharaoh, and Gleb Shulpyakov's A Fireproof Box (translated from the Russian by Christopher Mattison).
